| About 2 years into this process and after adding a number of new members to our initial group, we began to receive requests to start a group for beginners. As the classes continued, we realized that this class was becoming a major commitment and required more skill than any of us possessed. Daniela Ciccone, a certified Italian teacher, began to teach two classes: one for beginners who had no experience with the language and one for people who had spoken the dialect and had had some classes in high school. Due to the success of the first classes, we have added intermediate and advanced levels. In addition, two other Italian-certified teachers have joined our growing language community. In December of 2005, we added Spanish classes to answer students' request. Aside from language instruction, Passport to Languages also sponsors annual trips to Italy in the spring and hosts an Italian holiday party with authentic Italian music every year. Whether you are just beginning your study of a second language or are improving your fluency, we hope you will enjoy the classes and activities that Passport to Languages has to offer. |

| In 1999, a small group of about five people with a love for languages decided to try to learn Italian. We initially started with a "self-help" text and then proceeded to take classes at various colleges (CCRI, Brown). |
