This is course is designed for students who were enrolled in the Introduction to Italian class (Tues 6 pm with Daniela) in Winter Session or anyone some limited prior knowledge of Italian and does not need an introductory course..

  • Course topics this session: Food vocabulary (dialogues related to ordering food), expressing likes and dislikes, and continued practice of basic grammar concepts.
  • This course does not require a textbook.

This course is designed for students who were enrolled in the Beginner 1 class (Tues 7pm with Daniela) in Winter Session or anyone who has some previous knowledge of basic Italian (i.e. present tense of are-ere-ire verbs)

  • Course topics this session: clothing vocabulary, (dialogues and expressions related to shopping in Italy), weather expressions, and continued practice of regular present tense verbs.

  • Course topics this session: Continuing Chapter 6A (bedroom and electronic equipment vocab, comparisons, the superlative, the verbs poder and dormir) and starting Chapter 6B (rooms of a house, household chores, telling where you live, affirmative tú commands, the the present progressive) in addition to other digital/multimedia materials provided by the instructor.

SPANISH INTERMEDIATE                               7-week session - $100                                  Tuesday 6:00-7:00pm ET 

Instructor: Emma Catanzaro                                       
This course is designed for intermediate level students.  While using the textbook Realidades 3 to review key grammar concepts and introduce new vocabulary, the course places a strong emphasis on communication. Approximately half of each class session is dedicated to student interaction, including sharing personal experiences (such as weekly activities) and asking questions to practice real-life conversations. Through these activities, students strengthen their use of the preterite and imperfect tenses in meaningful, authentic contexts.
